This is optional per item. The value is that issues which currently get corrected on the spot with no record are now documented, and issues that require a follow-up no longer fall through the cracks because there is no formal tracking in place.

We currently email bullet-point summaries to management — what does structured reporting actually look like on the platform?

Instead of a bullet-point email that gets archived and forgotten, every completed inspection generates a structured PDF report automatically. For inspections owned by external providers, can we store and file their reports here?

Our devices are Android; is the Lumiform app fully compatible, or will we hit problems?

The Lumiform app runs on iOS and Android with full functionality. Field teams complete inspections, capture photos, raise corrective actions, and submit forms on Android devices without any feature limitations. The app also works offline, so connectivity gaps in a warehouse environment do not interrupt the inspection. Forms sync automatically when the connection is restored. Your newly purchased Android scanners are compatible and do not require any special configuration beyond installing the app, which is a standard IT clearance process.

Is there an open API so we can extract and integrate the data ourselves?

Yes, Lumiform provides an open API that lets your team extract inspection data and integrate it with your existing systems independently. This means you are not dependent on Lumiform to build or maintain integrations for you. Your team can connect inspection results to your internal reporting tools, databases, or any other system you already use. API access is available on the Enterprise plan.
