Industries that run quality control with Lumiform
These industries rely on structured, repeatable QC processes to catch defects early, maintain compliance, and prove product quality to customers and auditors.

Manufacturing
Your production teams run in-process and final inspections on mobile devices, capturing measurements, photos, and serial numbers at the line — not back at a desk after the shift ends.

Food & beverage
Your QC managers run HACCP-aligned checks on ingredients, packaging, and finished goods, with timestamped records that are audit-ready and retrievable without searching through physical binders.

Automotive & suppliers
Suppliers document dimensional checks and part conformance with tolerance-based fields and defect photos, replacing ballpoint-pen measurement logs that previously had to be manually merged.

Logistics & warehousing
Warehouse teams run goods-in and goods-out inspections with photo evidence and barcode scanning, creating traceable records that resolve supplier disputes without relying on memory or paper trails.

Construction & engineering
Your site supervisors complete structured QC checks at each build stage, attaching photos and sign-offs that serve as the formal record clients require before accepting delivery.

Pharmaceuticals & medical devices
QA teams document batch checks, equipment qualifications, and deviation records with immutable timestamps and version control.

Common questions
Yes. Lumiform supports numeric input fields where inspectors enter actual measured values alongside a pass/fail confirmation. This means a dimensional check captures both the value and whether it falls within tolerance, giving you documented proof rather than a simple tick.
Yes. When a checklist item is answered with a failing or flagged response, Lumiform automatically triggers a corrective action. You define the trigger conditions in advance. The action gets assigned to a responsible person, includes a deadline, and tracks status through to resolution.
Inspections in Lumiform are linked to entities such as a batch number, article, or product identifier. You can filter completed reports by that identifier and retrieve the full inspection record, including who filled it out, when, and what was found. This way, you don’t have to open every individual report to find out which article was actually checked.
Lumiform connects to external systems via API and webhooks, so inspection data captured in Lumiform can be pushed to SAP. This eliminates the copy-paste effort of manually transferring inspection results back into SAP after the fact. The specific integration setup depends on your SAP configuration.
Yes. The form builder includes conditional logic that you configure directly, with no IT involvement required. If a question is answered a certain way, follow-up questions appear or are skipped automatically. You set this up yourself in the no-code template editor. This replaces the situation where adding nested questions in tools like Microsoft Forms requires writing a ticket to the tech department and waiting for someone else to build it.
After submission, only administrators can edit a completed report. Standard users cannot modify submitted records. All changes are tracked in an audit trail, so you can see what was altered, by whom, and when. This addresses the risk of employees filling out checklists retroactively or adjusting records after the fact, which is a compliance and traceability problem.
Lumiform stores completed inspection data in the cloud with no fixed expiry on standard plans. You can filter by date range, location, form type, or entity and retrieve all records for a given period without searching through physical folders.
Yes. Workers scan a QR code attached to a machine, product, or location and the relevant form opens immediately on their mobile device. This removes the need to search for the right checklist manually. For production environments where workers need to open a manufacturing order and have the correct form ready to fill out, QR codes on equipment or workstations provide a direct link between the physical asset and the digital inspection record.
Yes. Lumiform lets you add approval steps to any inspection as an Enterprise feature or add-on. Once the inspector submits the form, it routes to a designated approver who reviews and signs off digitally. Until approval is granted, the record stays in a pending state and cannot be closed.
Lumiform hosts data on AWS Frankfurt, so data stays in Germany and within the EU. This supports GDPR requirements and common data residency expectations for organizations operating under EU data protection law. Lumiform also holds SOC 2 certification, and a data processing agreement is available as part of the contract.
