Industries that manage lifts across multiple sites
Any organisation operating lifts across multiple buildings faces the same challenge: consistent inspection records, clear operator responsibility, and audit-ready documentation at every location.

Facility management
Assign recurring lift inspections per building and track completion across your portfolio, then pull timestamped records if operator liability is questioned by insurers or regulators.

Housing & real estate
Run scheduled lift walkthroughs across residential blocks, log defects with annotated photos, and maintain a documented maintenance history for each asset across your entire building stock.

Healthcare & hospitals
Inspect passenger and goods lifts across multi-floor facilities, including floors with no signal, using offline-capable forms that sync automatically once connectivity is restored.

Education & public sector
Whether you’re handling schools, universities, or civic buildings, use a single base template adapted per site, so a building without a lift skips that section automatically without duplicating or rebuilding the form.

Retail & shopping centres
Schedule lift inspections per location across your retail portfolio, restrict technicians to their assigned forms, and export branded compliance reports for landlord or regulatory submission.

Logistics & warehousing
Inspect goods lifts and loading equipment on fixed schedules. Managers can then assign corrective actions when faults are found and track resolution to closure before the next inspection cycle is due.

Common questions
Yes. Lumiform is built around structured, recurring inspection walkthroughs using checklists. You create a template, set a schedule, and the form appears as a pending task for the assigned user at the defined interval. Scheduled forms are tracked separately from ad-hoc inspections. This is the core use case the platform is designed for.
Yes. In Lumiform, field workers on the mobile app see only the forms assigned to them. They cannot access templates outside their assignments. Roles and permissions are managed in the Administration section, where you control what each user can view and do. Field workers fill in inspection fields only. They cannot create or modify templates. Completed reports are not editable by the inspector after submission, which matches your requirement directly.
The Lumiform mobile app supports offline use. Field workers can conduct inspections and complete checklists without an active internet connection. The Outbox section of the app shows forms that are completed and waiting to be sent, including those delayed due to a poor connection. Once connectivity is restored, submissions sync automatically. This covers the scenario where your workers are in basements, underground garages, or buildings with no signal.
Every completed inspection in Lumiform generates a timestamped report that records who conducted the walkthrough, what was checked, and what the outcome was. Completed forms are stored and accessible for review. Actions created during or after an inspection are tracked and assigned to specific users. This creates a documented record of recurring inspection walkthroughs across your technical installations, giving you an auditable trail for each building and asset.
Yes. Lumiform uses entities with attributes to handle this automatically. You create one base template and assign it to buildings modeled as entities. Each building entity carries attributes, such as “has elevator: yes/no,” which control which sections appear in the inspection. When a field worker opens the form, Lumiform shows or hides questions based on the building’s attributes. You don’t duplicate templates or rebuild forms. Changes to the base template apply across all buildings instantly, while building-specific differences are managed through entity attributes.
Lumiform provides an API that allows completed inspection data to be passed to external systems. This means a completed elevator inspection could automatically flow into your ERP. API access is available as a paid add-on on the Professional plan or included in the Enterprise plan.
The Lumiform Template Builder includes a “Customize report” section where you can configure how final reports look. Customer-specific branding including logo, header, and footer in PDF reports is supported. Inspection reports sent to building managers or used for compliance documentation can carry your organization’s identity.
Yes. The Lumiform mobile app allows field workers to capture photos during inspections and add annotations directly within the app. Workers can mark up images to highlight defects, add arrows, or draw attention to specific details before attaching them to the inspection report. This visual documentation is stored with the completed form and included in the final PDF report, giving building managers and compliance teams clear visual evidence of what was observed during the elevator walkthrough.
Yes. Lumiform sends automated notifications to technicians through in-app alerts and email when inspections are scheduled, due, or overdue. When you assign an inspection to a technician, they receive a notification that the task is waiting for them. Reminder notifications can be configured to ensure technicians stay on top of their scheduled elevator walkthroughs. All notifications are tracked within the platform, giving you visibility into who was notified and when, which supports your compliance documentation and helps keep your multi-building lift inspection program running on schedule.
