How do I see which sites haven’t completed their hazard assessment yet?

The Analytics dashboard shows overdue forms by site, group, and category in real time. Operations managers can filter by completion status and immediately see which sites are red. Can someone doing a walkthrough add new hazard items on the spot without a pre-built form?

Field workers can document individual deficiencies during a walkthrough without running through a full pre-built checklist. They can capture a photo, describe the issue, set a priority level, and assign a corrective action on the spot. This covers the scenario where you find a defect mid-site and need to log it immediately without it getting lost in a phone call or a note that never makes it back to the office.

Can field workers be restricted so they only see and respond to their own assigned actions?

Yes. Lumiform uses roles and permissions to control what each user can access. Field workers can be set up to see only the forms assigned to them and respond to their own actions, without access to other sites, users, or management-level data. This keeps the interface simple for frontline teams while giving health and safety managers full visibility across all sites and groups from the desktop dashboard.

Can the people signing off on a JHA sign directly in the app on-site?

Yes. Lumiform supports e-signatures directly within the mobile app. Workers and supervisors can sign off on a job hazard analysis on-site, on their phone or tablet, without needing to return to a desk or print anything. The signature is captured as part of the inspection record and appears in the auto-generated report. This covers the offline scenario too, since the app works without a network connection and syncs when signal is restored.

If we go underground with no signal, does the inspection still run and sync later?

Yes. The Lumiform mobile app works fully offline on iOS and Android. Field workers can complete hazard assessments, capture photos, and record responses without any network connection. Once the device reconnects, the inspection syncs automatically. This was a hard requirement for teams working in areas with no coverage, and it was specifically a dealbreaker with previous tools that weren’t offline-capable. No data is lost and no manual re-entry is required.

Once a supervisor marks an action done, can I still block closure until I approve it?

Yes. Lumiform supports approval workflows on corrective actions. A supervisor can mark an action as complete, but the action stays open until the person who created it or an assigned approver confirms closure. This gives health and safety managers final sign-off authority and prevents actions from being closed without verification. It directly addresses the problem of not knowing whether a process step has actually been completed or just marked done.

If someone marks a hazard control as not in place, does it automatically open a sub-checklist?

Lumiform’s form builder supports conditional logic. When a field worker selects a failing response, such as a hazard control not in place, the form can automatically show follow-up questions or a sub-checklist specific to that issue. This replaces the need to hack together a separate workflow. The logic is configured in the template builder without IT support, and it works the same way on mobile whether the device is online or offline.

Can I scan a barcode on equipment and have it pull automatically into the inspection form?

Lumiform supports barcode scanning within the mobile app. A field worker scans the barcode on a piece of equipment, such as a fire extinguisher or machine, and the relevant asset information pulls directly into the inspection form. This removes the need to manually identify equipment during rounds and ensures the inspection record is tied to the correct asset. It also supports the use case of maintaining fire protection logs without relying on Excel or Teams lists.

Can we pin a deficiency to an exact location on a site plan?

Lumiform captures GPS location data during mobile inspections, which tags where an inspection or action was recorded.
