Industries that run regular ladder safety inspections
Any industry where workers climb to reach height needs documented ladder checks, both to meet legal requirements and to catch defects so they don't cause injuries.

Facilities management
Your facilities teams inspect ladders across multiple client sites on recurring schedules. Lumiform lets your technicians reuse asset records per site and log defects with corrective actions assigned on the spot.

Construction
Site supervisors run pre-use and periodic ladder checks across active builds. Lumiform captures inspection results by ladder ID, flags critical defects immediately, and keeps records ready for HSE or site audits.

Manufacturing
Maintenance teams inspect fixed and portable ladders across production floors on set intervals. Lumiform prefills recurring data and triggers follow-up tasks when a ladder needs repair or removal from service.

Utilities & energy
Your field engineers inspect access ladders at substations, towers, and plant infrastructure. Lumiform works offline and syncs completed inspections automatically once connectivity is back.

Retail & commercial property
Store and property managers check stepladders and platform ladders used daily by staff. Lumiform standardizes the check across every location so no site skips steps or uses an outdated inspection format.

Logistics & warehousing
Warehouse supervisors inspect rolling ladders and stock-picking equipment as part of shift safety routines. Lumiform logs each check against the asset, tracks defect history, and flags overdue inspections.

Common questions
Yes. Lumiform’s form builder lets you configure any answer set you need. For ladder inspections, you can set response options to include OK, defective, and repaired alongside any other status your workflow requires. You can also add conditional logic so that selecting “defective” automatically triggers a corrective action, prompting the inspector to record whether the ladder was repaired on-site, locked out, or flagged for a return visit with spare parts.
Yes. Inventory number fields in Lumiform accept free-text input, so inspectors can enter whatever format the customer uses, including alphanumeric combinations, hyphens, and special characters. If a customer labels their ladders with a license plate number followed by a sequence like “XY-1,” “XY-2,” or “XY-3,” the inspector enters it exactly as it appears. There is no enforced format that would reject unconventional naming conventions.
Photo capture in Lumiform can be optional per question. You configure which fields require a photo and which do not. For a site where most ladders pass inspection, inspectors can complete the form without attaching any photos. Photos only need to be added where you have explicitly made them mandatory, for example on questions where a defect is recorded, keeping the workflow fast for routine checks.
Yes. Lumiform supports multiple photo attachments per question. If a ladder has two broken rungs and a damaged foot, the inspector can photograph each defect separately within the same form field. Photos can also be annotated to highlight specific damage. The inspection record for a single ladder can capture every defect visually without requiring separate entries or workarounds.
Yes. Lumiform auto-generates a PDF report after each completed inspection. You can configure the report layout to display the result counts that matter to your customer, including how many ladders were OK, defective, or repaired. The report format is customizable, and you can include your company logo. The customer receives a clean, structured document without anyone needing to manually compile results from individual records.
Inspectors can scan a QR code or barcode attached to the ladder to open the correct form with that ladder’s details pre-filled. This removes manual selection from a list and eliminates the risk of logging results against the wrong asset.
Each ladder can be set up as an entity in Lumiform, and you can access all previous inspection reports linked to it. Previous results, photos, and corrective actions are all stored against the same records.
