How steep is the learning curve for frontline workers?

The mobile app is designed for frontline workers with minimal training required. Workers see their assigned forms, open them, fill them in, and submit. There is no complex navigation. The interface is built for people who are not comfortable with new technology, which is a deliberate design choice given that Lumiform is used across large, distributed teams. A trial period lets workers test it directly before rollout, so you can validate adoption before expanding to the full team.

Can workers record forms per customer and activity, then export everything to Excel?

Yes. Workers open a form on mobile, log time or activity for a specific customer, and submit it. All submitted data aggregates in Lumiform’s dashboard and exports directly to Excel. This replaces the current process where workers hand-write hours per customer on paper and one full-time employee spends their entire day entering those lines manually. That person’s time gets freed up the moment digital submission replaces the paper sheets.

Can a form move from one department to the next, and be sent back if something’s missing?

Lumiform supports structured multi-step workflows with built-in approvals and routing. Once a form is completed, it can be automatically passed to the next responsible team or reviewer. Approvals are available as an add-on on the Professional plan and are included in the Enterprise plan. If something is missing or incorrect, reviewers can request changes and send the form back for completion. This enables clear handoffs between teams without requiring custom development or IT setup.

Is it possible to centralize all collected data and export raw datasets?

Yes. Lumiform consolidates all submitted form data in one dashboard and makes it exportable. You get the raw data out via Excel export or database integration. Lumiform does not require you to use its analytics for final reporting if your team structures and visualizes data in external tools. You define what data gets captured in the form. Lumiform stores it and hands it over. Your team takes it from there.

Can exported data be integrated with external analytics and visualization tools such as Tableau or Metabase?

Yes, Lumiform can export inspection and form data, and integrate directly with databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MS SQL. You pull the raw data out and feed it into whichever visualization tool you use. Tableau and Metabase connect to those same database sources, so the data flows through without manual reformatting. Lumiform provides the structured data. Your team handles the visualization and analysis in the tools you already have in place.

Does the platform support use cases beyond field reporting, such as fleet inspections and maintenance checks?
