Exterior Inspection
Check for any damage to the body, windows, mirrors, and lights
Ensure all lights (headlights, taillights, turn signals) are functioning properly
Inspect the condition of the tires, including tread depth and inflation
Check that the cargo area and doors are secure and undamaged
Interior Inspection
Ensure the driver's seat and seatbelt are in good working order
Check that the dashboard and gauges are functioning correctly
Verify the operation of the horn, windshield wipers, and defroster
Confirm the cargo area is clean, organized, and free of any loose items
Under-the-Hood Inspection
Check the engine oil level and top up if necessary
Inspect the coolant level and condition of the hoses
Ensure the battery is securely mounted and the connections are clean
Check the power steering fluid level
Operational Inspection
Test the brakes, including the parking brake, for proper operation
Verify the transmission fluid level is within the recommended range
Ensure the steering wheel has the appropriate amount of play
Check that the backup camera and sensors (if equipped) are working
