Can the checklist capture fire extinguisher expiry dates, damage photos, and export to CSV per vehicle?

Yes. You build a vehicle inspection form that includes a date field for fire extinguisher expiry, photo capture fields for damage documentation, and any other check items you need. Each form is tied to a specific vehicle entity in Lumiform. Completed inspections generate reports you can export, and inspection data can be pushed to connected databases or downloaded for analysis per vehicle. Photos are attached directly to the relevant checklist item, so the record is complete and traceable.

Will drivers use this on their phones, or does it require a desktop?

Drivers use the Lumiform mobile app on their phones. It runs on iOS and Android and works offline, so connectivity on the road is not a blocker. Drivers complete inspections, log stops, capture photos, and submit reports entirely from their phone. The desktop version is for managers: configuring forms, reviewing results, tracking actions, and analyzing data across the fleet. No driver needs to touch a desktop to do their daily work.

Can we build a structured daily log: start of day, each stop, breaks, end of day — in sequence?

Yes. You configure a form in Lumiform that follows a fixed sequence: start of day, stop 1 start and end, stop 2 start and end, break start and end, and so on through end of day. Each section appears in order, and you can use conditional logic to control what fields appear based on previous responses. The driver moves through the form step by step, which enforces the structure rather than leaving it to individual judgment.

Can we prevent drivers from logging all stops at once instead of in real time?

Lumiform does not currently offer a native time-lock that blocks a driver from completing multiple stops in rapid succession. You can add time-stamp fields at each stop to create a visible record of when entries were made, which makes gaming the log detectable. For stricter enforcement, GPS location capture during inspections on mobile adds another layer of verification. Complete prevention of bulk entry would require workflow logic beyond what the standard form builder currently supports.

Can our drivers figure out how everything works without needing training?

The mobile app is built for frontline workers who are not software users by default. The home screen shows assigned tasks and pending forms. Drivers tap through a form, answer questions, take photos, and submit. There is no complex navigation. Lumiform is designed so field teams can complete inspections with minimal training, which is a documented design principle. That said, if the form itself is complex, a short onboarding session on the specific workflow you configure is still worth running.

Is Lumiform a native app or a web platform you log into from any device?

Lumiform is both. The mobile app is a native app available on iOS and Android, downloaded to the driver’s phone. The desktop version is a web-based platform accessed through a browser. Drivers use the native app in the field. Managers and administrators use the web platform to configure forms, manage users, review results, and run analytics. You do not need to choose one or the other; each interface is designed for a different part of the workflow.

Can a QR code be used as an answer type inside a form field?

Yes, QR code scanning is available as an answer type within a Lumiform form field. A driver can scan a QR code on a vehicle, piece of equipment, or location as part of completing an inspection. This is useful for confirming the correct vehicle is being inspected or for triggering a specific checklist tied to that asset. It adds a verification step without adding friction to the driver’s workflow.

Can drivers send a standardized report with photos directly from the field?

Yes. When a driver submits a completed form, Lumiform automatically generates a report that includes all captured data and attached photos. That report is sent immediately without the driver or a manager needing to write anything separately. The form structure enforces standardized data capture, so every submission follows the same format. Reports can be routed automatically to the relevant manager or dispatcher based on rules you configure. Nothing sits in a queue waiting for someone to compile it.

Does the platform offer guaranteed ongoing development for long-term use?

Lumiform is an actively developed platform with regular feature updates, documented in a public changelog.
