Going beyond inspections, you can create dedicated traffic lanes with clear markings and install mirrors at blind corners where accidents commonly occur. Limiting speeds in busy areas and ensuring proper lighting throughout the facility prevents collisions. Regular safety meetings keep everyone vigilant. By creating a blame-free reporting culture, you can also encourage operators to speak up about hazards.

Watch for decreased run time between charges and excessive heat during operation. Difficulty holding a charge often signals battery failure, as does visible corrosion on terminals or bulging battery cases. Unusual odors and performance issues like reduced lifting capacity or slower acceleration indicate it’s time for replacement. Conduct regular capacity testing as well to catch problems early.
