Float Plan Template

This float plan template can be used by boaters to summarize their boat trip and describe vital details that can help the Coast Guard save lives in case of an emergency. Boat companies (e.g. yacht charter, fishing boat rentals, canal boat hire, pontoon boat rentals, kayak rentals) can benefit in particular from this digital float plan template and enable their skippers to make their outings more efficient and their trips safer. This checklist by the Lumiform app was not meant to replace a boater's marine VHF radio and other communication equipment. You should still always have a charged VHF Radio and Cell Phone with you when out on the water. Always have a backup plan. This Lumiform checklist was designed to provide additional boating safety resources for mobile device users.
