The staff of a restaurant business must be trained regularly (at least once a year and/or when newly employed) in accordance with the Hygiene Act. These training courses focus on topics that occur in your business (e.g. work clothes, washing hands, cleaning schedule, basic terms such as personal hygiene, industrial hygiene). The training can be carried out in your own company. It is not necessary to hire an external consulting firm. The training obligation according to the Infection Protection Act can be dealt with together with the hygiene training. Remember that the instruction according to the Infection Protection Act (former health certificate) is only valid if training on topics of the Infection Protection Act has been carried out at least once a year or when newly employed.
