Restaurants should carry out regular visual pest checks to avoid a negative influence on food by pests such as cockroaches, beetles, flies and rodent mice and rats. Every restaurant operator should regularly (approx. twice a month) visually inspect the establishment for pest infestation. This duty of control can also be fulfilled by using commercially available bait traps. If pest or rodent infestation is detected, it is advisable to commission a professional pest controller.
